無垢の木と蜜蝋ワックスPure natural wood and beeswax

良質な無垢の木材を厳選しています。数年間かけて十分に自然乾燥させた木材を人工乾燥機でさらに水分を抜き、その後、含水率約12% まで自然に回復させ、反りやねじれが起きにくいよう安定させます。樹種は、ナラ、メープル、ウォールナットブラックチェリー、チークなど6〜8種類を用意。使う人の好みや空間デザインに合わせて選べます。無垢の木の手触りを生かし、木の呼吸をふさがないよう、仕上げは天然成分100% の蜜蝋ワックスを使用。手仕事で一脚ずつていねいに擦り込む作業を数回繰り返します。こうして仕上げた無垢の木の椅子は、時が経つほどに風合いを深めていきます。 We use good quality timbers for chairs. They are dehydrated by artificial drier after a few years natural dryness. After that, we wait till the woods’ moisture restores to 12% naturally for prevention of the wood bend and twist. You can choose your favorite wood type from oak, maple, walnut, black cherry, teak, etc. We use beeswax made with 100% natural ingredients for finishing every wooden chair. This wax makes the wood breathe, so that you can enjoy the touch of natural wood.

多品種小ロットの生産体制でものづくりに取り組んでいます。ユーザーの要望にきめ細かく対応するためと同時に、ひとつひとつのデザイン、一脚一脚の製品に対するこだわりでもあります。すべての製品には製造ナンバーを記したシールを貼っています。このナンバーにより、その椅子をいつ製造し、どこに出荷したのか、履歴が確認できるようになっています。製品に問題があった場合はもちろん、そうでない場合も期限を定めずに末永く修理に対応します。木を大切に使い、愛されて長く使われる製品を生みだすことが、サスティナブルなものづくりだと考えています。 In order to deal with individual request from our clients and users, we are producing our products in small lots with many variations. And also, this production system shows our adherence for each design and each product. You can find the numbering sticker on each product. If you tell us the number, we can track it to when we made it and where it was shipped. We cope with repairs for many years if necessary. Our idea of “sustainable production” is not wasting woods and creating products which will last and be loved for a long time.
